Despite such possibilities, a significant part of foreign drivers who have suffered an accident or a car collision in Slovenia or another EU country decide to repair the damage only after returning to the country. Most often, this is due to ignorance of the language, documents in force in a given country or law.
Unfortunately, this is a wrong procedure, because the compensation after the technical opinion in Poland and the calculation of the resulting damage may be lower than those paid on the basis of the technical opinion made immediately after the accident in Germany, Austria, Slovenia or in another EU country by an independent car appraiser.
An independent car appraiser, knowing the law in force in a given country, is able to properly calculate all the types of costs due to the injured party in the accident and the losses incurred, which will be paid as recovery. Thanks to this, the compensation due and paid may be much higher than what the injured party would receive in the event of an accident or car collision in Germany, Austria, Slovenia or in another European Union country if he liquidated the damage suffered after returning to Poland. Such a difference is most often caused by the fact that Polish car technology experts representing Polish insurance companies do not know the law in force in other EU countries. Liquidation of damage, performance of an independent technical opinion immediately after the accident, still in the country where the accident or collision took place, will significantly speed up the payment of compensation.
